Thanks to our friends at Firewalker, The Lobster Trap’s Cayenne Hot Sauce was brought to life, and it’s now our new favorite!
Firewalker is an Asheville-based hot sauce company that took the city by storm a few years back. Their concoctions always feature punchy flavors and well-balanced spice. You can find bottles of their hot sauces in many Asheville restaurants, as well as some of our local grocery stores.
Always with a mind for seafood, Chef McCarty approached the Firewalker team about creating a sauce that our guests could use on any dish from our menu, without altering the integrity of the ingredients. True-to-form, the Firewalker team didn’t disappoint.
Have you ever tried a hot sauce that was essentially flavorless, despite the heat? Well don’t worry, because we aren’t playing those games here. The Cayenne Hot Sauce has just the right balance of spices to compliment our dishes, without overpowering them. No pointless spluttering and pain necessary.
Not a fan of heat? Don’t sweat it! The Lobster Trap’s Hot Sauce is flavor-forward, created to enhance the flavor of our seafood and not overpower it.

There are two ways to get your hands on our hot sauce.
1. Come into the Trap and you will find a bottle on every table.
2. If you trust us (which you should by now) you can also order a bottle online, and pick it up curbside.
