Did you know, Sea Turtles have been present on Earth since the age of the dinosaurs? That’s right, they’re downright prehistoric! Want to know another fact about Sea Turtles? All seven species still in existence are considered either endangered or threatened.
That’s why we decided to adopt a couple of Sea Turtles of our own, and we need your help!
This Earth Day, we are raising money to benefit The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Surf City, NC. Starting April 1st and running until Earth day, a percentage of every oyster sold in The Lobster Trap will be saved up and donated towards this cause.
How can you help? Just eat oysters!
Every order will also include a fun, educational fact about Sea Turtles. For example, did you know that a baby Sea Turtle’s gender is determined by the temperature of sand during the nesting period?
