Heads up, oyster lovers! It’s time to defend your honor!
You guys polished off a record amount of oysters during our last contest. Our shuckers still get a haunted look in their eyes when we talk about it. We love our shuckers and the delicious oysters they provide us so we are making some changes to the contest format. This should help keep all of us in our shucker’s good graces.
New Format
This time around, the contest is limited to the first 20 entries with a participation fee of $100. Contestants will have a strict time limit of 75 minutes to eat as many oysters as possible. There will be five waves of four contestants each so every person will receive a specific start time and finish time.
The Contest Champion will be the person who manages to polish off the most oysters in the 75 minutes. In addition to their refunded entry fee, the Champion will receive a $250 Lobster Trap gift card, the Fall 2026 Champion trophy, a box of swag and goodies from us and our partners, as well as front page coverage on our social media and website.
How to Enter
If you wish to enter, complete this form prior to Monday, November 9th in order to secure your spot. Once submitted, Maggie the Oyster Queen will reach out to coordinate your contest start time. Remember, we only have 20 spots available and they are first-come, first serve.
