Mike McCarty featured as an Asheville Foodtopian

Executive Chef and General Manager Mike McCarty has been featured as one of Asheville’s premier Foodtopians.

Sourcing requires dedication, but McCarty says it’s important for Asheville diners to have access to high quality, sustainable seafood for the sake of variety. “I call my purveyors every evening and morning,” he explains. “It takes a lot of work on our part to seek out people who can supply fresh, sustainable seafood. It takes really close relationships.”

Employee of the Month for July

Congratulations to Rick Wolf, aka “Ranger Rick” for being voted Employee of the Month for July!

Rick quickly became a staff favorite with his entertaining stories and great attitude. A real outdoors man, when he is not in the kitchen you might spot him picking berries, fishing, hiking, or just building something. Rick also loves spending time with his son. He brought a wealth of cooking knowledge with him when he joined The Lobster Trap team and even has his own wood-fired pizza truck.
