Kim Murray
General Manager

As an entrepreneur and service industry veteran, Kim brings more than 24 years of experience in restaurants and resorts to her current role as General Manager. Prior to joining the Lobster Trap family, Kim spent several years as the assistant front and back house director of the Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC. After moving to Asheville in 2005, Kim took a brief reprieve of the restaurant industry to start a family as well as her own business: Two Bitches and a Broom Cleaning Company. As current General Manager of the Lobster Trap, Kim applies combines her skill and experience with a lifelong passion for restaurant management.


Mike McCarty
Executive Chef

Mike discovered a passion for cooking after landing his first kitchen job at the age of 16. Since then he’s traveled from one kitchen to the next, working under very talented chefs in multiple AAA/CAA Four Diamond Restaurants throughout the country. Now Mike incorporates his talent and passion for cooking in his current role as Execute Chef of the Lobster Trap, where he strives to concoct new flavors out of seafood staples.
